Applejack Condos, Thornbury: the story behind them

Applejack Condos, Thornbury - the story behind them

Applejack is a condominium community on the west side of Thornbury, a short walk from Bruce Street, the harbour and the Georgian Trail - and named honestly: the orchards that gave this town its apple country reputation are literally next door.

Applejack grew up in phases - Phase 1 through Phase 5, plus the Woods - and each phase is its own condominium, with its own fees, rules and personality. 185 homes, one name, and a genuinely interesting story under the hood. Telling it clearly is the reason this site exists.

No listings. On purpose.

This site is a resource, not a storefront. You will find no listings here and nothing for sale on a page. What you will find is a deep, carefully sourced reference on the community: how the phases work, what ownership actually costs, how the winter rental market runs, and what to check before you buy. When you want to know what is coming up for sale, ask me.

Start where you are

Buying at Applejack? Start with Which Applejack is this? - the phases, and how to tell yours from the address. Then the fees, and the profile of the phase you are looking at.

Renting for the ski season? Owners: the owner’s guide. Families looking for a winter place: the tenant’s guide. Wondering why there is no Airbnb here: that answer.

Already own here? The fees, explained. What all the phases share. And when the time comes to sell, you know where I am.

New to Thornbury? Start with the town, the year here, season by season, and the drive up from the GTA.

Who runs this site

I am Brad Macdonald, Broker with REMAX All-Stars Realty Inc. Brokerage, The MAC Team. I winter in Thornbury, I ski here, and I have done Applejack deals from both sides, including in the Woods. Somewhere along the way I realized that what Applejack is actually made of takes real work to piece together - so I did the work, and this site is where it lives. More about me and why I bother.

Plain statement, because it matters: this site is not operated by, and is not affiliated with, any Applejack condominium corporation, their boards or their property managers. It is an independent resource. How this site knows what it knows.

When something comes up

Applejack sales are scarce - roughly ten a year across 185 homes. If you are watching for one, tell me what you are after and I will keep an eye out.
